China Acrobats Association (abbreviated to CAA), founded in 1981, is a nationwide professional organization composed of acrobatic associations and artists from various nationalities in the provinces, autonomous regions and municipal cities. It has altogether 29 group members and about 2,315 individual members all over the country. CAA is one of group members of China Federation of Literature and Art Circles (abbreviated to CFLAC).
CAA provides the service to the acrobatic troupes in the aspects of contacting, coordinating and directing, is responsible for organizing various acrobatic contests, performances, cultural exchanges and investigations, organize various acrobatic theory discussions and advertisements, make a collection, arrangement and study of acrobatic materials.
The history of CAA is also the history of prosperous development of Chinese acrobatics during the course of reform and opening up. Adhering to the concept of providing service and promoting development, CAA operated various activities and organized series of big scale events, which greatly improved the social statue of acrobatic art by standardizing the award judgment to improve the art taste; going down to the base units to collecting the folk art and to serve the citizens acrobatic shows; supporting fold acrobatics to expand in full Chinese acrobatic undertaking; attaching great importance to education and improving the theoretical level; reinforcing the structure construction to provide a base for acrobatic undertaking. Meanwhile, CAA paid great attention to strengthen the external cultural communication and enhance the international influence of Chinese acrobatics by fostering close relationship, building close contact and opening wide channel with the agents and companies across the world.
CAA made positive exploration to the function of contact, coordination and service and made splendid contribution to the development and prosperity of Chinese acrobatic career. In 2005, CAA gained the National May 1 labor merit certificate from Institutions Directly Under the CPC Central Committee. In the new millennium, CAA will accelerate the steps of reform and opening up, devote itself to Chinese acrobatic art and treasury of human Beijing with their spirit of innovation, efficiency and exploration. |
