There are over 7,244 foreign agencies in Beijing.

Beijing has hosted hundreds of international large-scale conferences such as the 2005 Global Fortune Forum, the United Nations Fourth World Conference on Women and the 21st World Universiade.

The 29th Olympic Games will be hosted in Beijing in 2008, which indicates that Beijing has the ability to host large-scale international events and also shows that China's comprehensive national power, political stability and social security have been generally recognized by the international society.

Due to the coming Olympic Games, tens of billions of Euros have been invested to further improve Beijing's public facilities, transportation, communication system, health care and so on. Of course the FISM World Championships of Magic 2009 will profit from these improvements.
